When IPPNW was young, we felt as one community, working together against nuclear war. Today the affiliate is more important for our members than IPPNW. This may be understandable, but nuclear war and the epidemic of small arms violence are international threats. We must work together against these global problems. We must recreate IPPNW as a unity. To do so we must learn to use several Inernet tools.

If IPPNW produced a short video lecture once every three months on a subject of great importance for our work, would you look and listen? If the Co-Presidents opened a blog, would you read and comment? Would a chat site be used?

Please comment on how best to use Internet to strengthen IPPNW and to further our goals. You can respond on this page, or if you prefer to my email We should then discuss these problems at the IPPNW World Congress in Delhi.

I can only echo Andy's remarks and help IPPNW get much more visibility. The work of all those involved is so vital to this planet and it's inhabitants. International Physicians and as mentioned: many more concerned citizens will find our information. Together we will work towards a healthy and safe world!

I think this is a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of social networking for positive, earth-affirming actions! I would encourage everyone to participate in these sites, but remember not to include private data. Everything is public... and your data is available to others. However, the upside is that we can now communicate easily, share our experiences and education around the issues, and find others who feel similarly. Look not only for IPPNW, but for IPPNW affiliates and related organizations! Recruit and have people support our cause! Thanks to IPPNW for helping set up these groups!

These sites are not only helping IPPNW connect activists all over the world, but they're fun and can help raise much needed financial resources too!
